Want to create a flyer, or a newsletter for your employees or clients, but don’t know where to begin with desktop publishing or layout and design? This site offers all of the basic information you’ll need to begin creating attractive documents, as well as helpful examples of flyers and publications that showcase the tips provided.
This guide deals with simple layout and design principles such as maintaining simplicity (i.e. not overloading the page with “stuff”) and good use of white space – allowing some empty space on the page to highlight certain features.
Be sure to check out the “before and after” links that show you, with one click, how following these guidelines allowed groups to turn their boring, run-of-the-mill documents into attractive and informative publications just by paying attention of the placement of graphics and text on the page - and a little creativity!
